The euphoric highs and gut-wrenching lows of golf are more intense than those of any other sport. With so many raw emotions surrounding the game, it’s no surprise that some of the best golf movies are documentaries.

So if you want to take a tour of the best golf videos, we’re going to leave you with the best golf documentaries available now and how you can watch them tonight.

Top golf documentaries

We are going to show you one by one the best documentaries you can watch:

The Short Game

The Short Game examines the world of junior golf. The film follows a group of 7-8 year old golfers as they compete in the 2012 U.S. World Junior Golf Championships. You will meet eight different junior golfers and follow them from their hometown and family life throughout the World Championship. In addition to golfers from the United States, the film features kids from South Africa, China, France and the Philippines. The Short Game is a great watch for any golf enthusiast, but especially for parents with young golfers.

Seve the Movie

‘Seve the Movie‘ traces the remarkable journey of Severiano Ballesteros into professional golf. As the son of a farm labourer, Seve turned professional at the age of 16. Any lover of golf can admire the path Seve blazed and the amazing skill he brought to golf, including more than 85 victories and five major championships. Seve the Movie is an inside look at not only his life, but also what it takes to succeed at the highest level. This documentary is eye-opening for younger generations, while those who admired Seve as a player will find it moving and nostalgic.

Uneven Streets: The Story of Golf’s Negro Leagues

Narrated by Samuel L. Jackson, this documentary looks at African-Americans who played at the highest level when they were excluded from the PGA. Instead, these golfers were part of the United Golf Association, known as the ‘Negro Leagues’ of golf.

Loopers: The Caddie’s Long Walk

Loopers: The Caddie’s Long Walk illustrates the story of golf’s most overlooked participant: the caddies. Beginning with their history in Scotland and ending with the caddies of the PGA Tour, this film provides an overview of many of the unseen facets of golf. Non-golf fans looking for something to watch may find this deep dive into the world of caddies a little over the top, but fans of the game will come away with a deeper appreciation for the profession. Narrated by America’s favourite Hollywood golf fan, Bill Murray, Looper: The Caddie’s Long Walk sheds light on player-caddie relationships and what it takes to find the biggest names The Founders.
